HOLIDAY HOME TO LET
IN MARLOES ON THE SCENIC PEMBROKESHIRE COAST
A HOME FROM HOME
Driftwood is a welcoming, attractive family property in Marloes village on the western peninsula of Pembrokeshire. Our spacious home aims to offer all the creature comforts you’d expect whilst giving you easy access to the stunning coastline and beaches. It really is a great base from which to explore - particularly the island of Skomer, recently featured in David Attenborough's documentary, 'Wild Isles'.

THE WILD BEAUTY OF THE PEMBROKESHIRE COAST
If you are looking for a great place to take the family and explore the delights of South-West Wales, then look no further. • 3 Bedrooms – sleeps 9 (can extend to 12) • 1 bathroom & 1 shower room • Located in Marloes village inside the National Park • Access to local beaches and costal path • Dog friendly • Wifi • Ample parking
PERFECT FOR FAMILIES
Downstairs we offer a dining kitchen where the whole family can enjoy a meal together in front of the Rayburn as well as 2 further reception rooms and a downstairs toilet/shower room. There are 3 large bedrooms upstairs - 1 king, 1 double and 1 which holds 2 sets of bunk beds (one single over double and a single over single). With this design the house is spacious for your family but offers the flexibility to comfortably accommodate 2 families – and if need be there is a double sofa bed downstairs and a single trundle bed upstairs.
ENCLOSED GARDEN AND PATIO AREA
The patio area is a great place to relax, perhaps enjoy a BBQ and a few light refreshments whilst the children (and dogs) play in the safety of your own garden. There are several outbuildings for you to store your kit away which is great for keeping the house (relatively) free of sand filled equipment. We welcome up to 2 well-behaved dogs and ask that you keep them downstairs and don’t allow them on any of the furniture out of respect for future guests.
VILLAGE LOCATION & WONDERFUL WALKS
Marloes is located inside the National Park, and only 2 miles from the boat to Skomer Island marine conservation zone. The village has a family friendly pub and a family run pizza takeaway – which are all within a hundred yards of the house. Opposite the pub there is a children’s play area and mini football pitch which is perfect for your little ones to enjoy themselves. If walking is your thing then you really couldn’t be in a better place. Every which way you look you’ll find paths that track the stunning coastline offering a wealth of wildlife living peacefully in their natural habitat.
THE SPECTACULAR COASTLINE
The nearest beach is Musselwick which is only a 15 minute walk away. The beautiful Marloes Sands is also within walking distance but a little further away and takes about 40 minutes to get there on foot. If this is a bit much you can drive and park in the National Trust car park which gives you great access to both the beach and the rather impressive Runwayskiln café. Don’t forget your NT card, it will save you money with parking! The tiny boating village of Dale, St Brides Castle and Bay, Broadhaven and Little Haven are all only a short drive away.
THE LOCAL AREA - FOR ALL THE FAMILY
A little further afield you’ll find plenty of family attractions such as Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo, Oakwood Theme Park, The Dinosaur Park and Heatherton World of Activities are all accessible Pembroke Castle - all well within an hour’s drive.
